Holding a PPER (Professional Leisure Craft Skipper) license in both sailing and motor boating, Mr. Kaplan spent many days at sea at the Mediterranean coast of Spain and the Andaman Sea and the Straits of Malacca in South East Asia, all the while appreciating the freedom, tranquility and beauty the sea offers despite the dangers it entails.
